Times Of Swaziland: STREET PASTOR LINDA DEFENDS CONTROVERSIAL PREACHING STYLE STREET PASTOR LINDA DEFENDS CONTROVERSIAL PREACHING STYLE ================================================================================ Sibusiso Zwane on 21/01/2025 08:42:00 MANZINI - Controversial street preacher, Linda Dlamini, has vowed to continue with his provocative preaching style despite mounting criticism and calls for his arrest. Dlamini, known for his fiery sermons often laced with graphic language, has come under fire from women’s rights organisations, who accuse him of using vulgar and misogynistic language. Dismissing the accusations, Dlamini maintained that his sermons are rooted in Scripture and are necessary to awaken the conscience of a wayward society. “Some of the things I preach against, like certain sexual practices, are explicitly condemned in the Bible,” he declared. He pointed to passages like Ezekiel 16:35 as justification for his strong language, arguing that sugar-coating the truth would hinder repentance. “The Lord wants us to speak the truth, not to massage egos. People won’t repent if we make them comfortable in their sin,” he asserted. Dlamini further emphasised that he never targets individuals by name, focusing instead on societal ills. “I’m not attacking anyone personally,” he clarified. “My goal is to expose the wickedness that plagues our community, from rampant infidelity to the abandonment of children.” He cited the growing moral decay in areas like Matsapha, comparing it to the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. “Everyone knows Matsapha has become a den of iniquity,” he declared. Dlamini dismissed claims that his sermons unfairly target women, highlighting his condemnation of men who abandon their families. “I preach against both men and women who stray from God’s path,” he stated. “If people are uncomfortable with my message, it’s because they are confronting their own sins.” The pastor concluded with a defiant message: “I will not compromise my convictions. I will continue to speak the truth, no matter the cost. Let them arrest me. Let them try to silence me. I will not change.”
