Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sabelo Dlamini said all Swazis who registered to partake during the upcoming elections would participate with ease. “You can still participate in the elections by bringing the identity card used to register so that it can be matched with information in the registration kit and the voters’ roll that will be available at the polling centres,” Dlamini said. Issued According to the Proclamation of the General Election of Elected Members of the House of Assembly, Tindvuna teNkhundla, and Bucopho Notice of 2013 issued on May 28, 2013, the main day of the national general elections will be September 20, 2013. On the same day, EBC Chairman Chief Gija, said votes would be counted by elections officials and released to members of the public. Nomination will be conducted on August 3 (Saturday) to August 4 (Sunday) at chiefdoms, recognised centres, community halls or schools starting from 7am to 5pm. Primary elections will be conducted on August 24, 2013 starting from 7am to 5pm. Introducing and campaigning of candidates standing for secondary elections starts on Sunday August 25 and ends Thursday, September 19. Currently, the electorate have been asked to confirm at Tinkhundla centres whether their names appear on the voters’ roll for corrections, if need be.
