Times Of Swaziland: ‘I didn’t have enough time to serve the community’ ‘I didn’t have enough time to serve the community’ ================================================================================ BY TSAKASILE DLAMINI on 26/08/2013 05:21:00 MBABANE – The Minister of Education and Training Wilson Ntshangase was booted out during the primary elections held over the weekend. The minister, who lost the election to former MP Vusi Sithole blamed his loss on the fact that he was kept busy by ministerial duties and as such couldn’t serve his community sufficiently. “People sometimes develop an attitude that you don’t cater to their needs when you become a minister,” he said. When asked whether he thought Sithole was a suitable candidate, the minister said “The people saw him to be suitable and also, I think his educational qualifications will also help him in his endeavours.” Ntshangase said he was taking his loss well because even during the elections, he had been ready for any suprises such as losing. The minister said he had no future plans at present and that he was looking forward to spending time at home, relaxing until he decided what to do next. “I really enjoyed my term as minister and I’m proud of the work that I did, however, I feel I didn’t have enough time to reach the people on the ground as an MP,” he said.
