In an interview with Times SUNDAY, the public protector said:”It was really a nice wedding. It was blessed and I hope they will live together in peace.” She was also briefly interviewed on corruption and women representation in decision making institutions. Madonsela said women and men were both needed in decision making institutions. She said it was vital to have both strengths on board to balance the scales. She said both man and woman complemented each other in development. However, she said, she had observed over the years that women were developmentally-oriented or focused. She said women were very useful in empowerment programmes and their involvement in decision making institutions was an advantage to any society.
