The games started yesterday and they end tomorrow. Some of the sporting codes to be played include soccer, netball and volleyball. There are over 30 athletes from Botswana who attended the games. IDM Regional Director Dr Karabo Mokobocho-Mohlakoana apologised on behalf of Lesotho for not showing up. She urged the students to enjoy the games and also compete for honours as there are prizes to be won.“We are happy to be in Swaziland for our special games. These games are giving a chance to all the students and those involved sharing ideas through sports and also enjoying themselves,” she said. IDM Country Director Nonhlanhla Dlamini welcomed all the victors and wished them a safe stay in the country. “We would like to thank the Royal Swaziland Police (RSP) for allowing the students at the Police College to be part of the games after Lesotho failed to attend. We hope they will not be taking away our medals but we will perform better than them,” she said. Dlamini said as they were hosting the games for the first time, there would be some shortcomings and she pleaded for patience from the visitors.
