The Lobamba-born golfer carded one of the best scores (71) in the decider of the Cape Town Ladies Open yesterday to rank fifth out of 59 golfers. The 25-year-old finished on three-under-par 219 to pocket E8 770 out of E28 000 in the fifth Ladies Sunshine Tour event at Royal Cape Golf Club. She would have easily pocketed a bigger amount but the prize fund was just E200 000. In the past week, she had also ranked position five at the Ladies Tshwane Open, which had a purse of E400 000. He walked away with E17 540. In essence, the hard-hitting golfer has earned close to E40 000 in about a month following the notable resurgence in the Tour. According to the tournament schedule posted on the Ladies Sunshine Tour official website, Dlamini’s next stop would be at the 72-par 18-hole George Golf Club in Limpopo, where she will challenge for honours at the Dimension Data Challenge. Up to E350 000 will be up for grabs.
