Swallows ...................................1 LOBAMBA – Mbabane Highlanders 19-year-old striker Sicelakuphila ‘Pato’ Mavuso’s brace sent Mbabane Swallows packing in the SwaziBank Cup Under-20 tournament. Just like the senior team, who crashed out in the same tournament after crashing 1-2 to Matsapha United, Swallows Under-20s were booted out of the E200 000-sponsored tournament with the same score. Swallows were first to score in the 10th minute through Wandile Mavimbela and the game went for the breather with the ‘Birds dominating. Highlanders’ ‘Pato’ then rose to the occasion as he received a pass unmarked from substitute Mxolisi Maziya and he easily beat Swallows goalkeeper Qiniso Nyawo to equalise. While Swallows were still recovering he was back two minutes later to finish off his brace. He received the ball from the centre and dashed straight for goal. Upon the final whistle, Highlanders jumped in celebration. ‘Pato’ said it is his dream to always score against Swallows. “I’m over the moon. This is our big game and winning against Swallows makes us proud. We did not play well in the first half but we were good in the second half. Now I believe we can go all the way to win the tournament,” he said. Watching Swallows losing was their seniors winger Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko.
