Times Of Swaziland: SWALLOWS DENIED GENUINE GOAL – AC LEOPARDS COACH SWALLOWS DENIED GENUINE GOAL – AC LEOPARDS COACH ================================================================================ BY SANELE JELE on 15/04/2017 10:01:00 SIKHUPHE – AC Leopards coach Nabi Nasreddine has said that Mbabane Swallows’ disallowed goal was a genuine one and should have stood. This was a response Nasreddine gave when he was questioned by the media upon arrival at the King Mswati III International Airport on Thursday. “Well to be honest with you guys, that was a genuine goal. It was not an offside as the match had officiated. What can we do man, it’s Africa, things like that happen, one day they are on your side the next game they are good for someone else, that’s the nature of the game,” said the Belgian-born mentor. Nasreddine went on to say they had put the first leg result behind them and they were focused on the second leg clash. “It won’t be an easy game, the Swazi coach (Vilakati) has a good team and I am sure they won’t make it easy for us. However, we are going out there to fight for positive results,” said Nash, as the coach is affectionately known in Congo. When asked if there were chances of the team winning the CAF Confederations Cup again, he said it was tough to answer that question. “Look here, most of the players are new here so I am trying to build a team that will compete fairly like it did back in 2012 when we won the CAF Confederations Cup. They have not yet reached that level where I want them to be, but we are a work in progress,” added the UEFA PRO A Licence holder. He further said they have respect for Swallows and was hopeful that their coming in early for the game would help them adapt easily in the country and familiarise themselves with the stadium. The Congolese based side came with a delegation of 41 personal. AC Leopards won 1-0 in their own back-yard last Sunday and they will face the ‘Birds’ today at Somhlolo National Stadium at 3pm.
