Swaziland National Sports and Recreation Council Finance and Administration Manager, Nqobile Dlamini disclosed this during the farewell function held at OlympAfrica Centre yesterday. Dlamini was speaking on behalf of the council’s CEO Darius Dlomo, as he was reportedly out of the country. “I am here to bid the team farewell and we have granted the volleyball squad E45 800 which will cater for the whole expenses of the trip. We wish them well in the games and we hope they will hoist the country’s flag high,” Dlamini said. Swaziland Olympic Commonwealth Games Association CEO, Muriel Hofer also commended Swaziland National Volleyball Association President Mpendulo Dlamini for fighting for the squad to partake in this tournament. “Please go out there and do your best. I am hoping you have prepared thoroughly ahead of the games. We would like to believe that you will do us proud in this tournament. When you come back home, share your experience with others so that they are inspired to join the team in their next international assignment. We also plead with you to behave well during the games,” Hofer said. SNVA president Mpendulo Dlamini thanked both SNSRC and SOCGA for supporting the team financially and otherwise ahead of these games. “The onus is now on the team not to just make numbers but compete and bring at least a medal home. We will leave today; games will run for three days starting from tomorrow (today) and end on Sunday.
