The sugar-belt side recorded a 4-2 emphatic win in a one sided encounter which was watched by over 300 football lovers. Among the spectators were Highlanderes PRO Paul ‘Magidz’eludzakeni’ Masilela, Royal Leopard PRO Frank Hurube, PLE’s Dumsani Sibandze, Ncamsile Mkhonta and Banele Masondo. Tambuti will join defending champions Young Buffaloes, Mbabane Swallows, Green Mamba, and Royal Leopard. Others who made it to the top eight are Vovovo, Manzini Sundowns and Malanti Chiefs. The green and white ensemble started brightly and eventually broke the deadlock 24 minutes into the first half. It was Colani Matsenjwa who dribbled past Simanga Masangane and unleashed a powerful shot that was too hot to stop for Highlanders goalkeeper Ndumiso Tsabedze. They doubled matters in the 37 minutes through Masiko Dlamini who headed home from a Nkosingiphile Dlamini cross. The ‘Bull’ reduced the deficit with five minutes to spare before the break. Highlanders striker Bayanda Dlamini received a defence splitting pass from Sanele Masilela and hurled a strong shot that went past Tambuti goalkeeper, Melusi Magagula. The game went into the breather with the black and white ensemble trailing by 1-2. continued After restart, the Ishmael Zwane-coach side continued from where they left off in the first stanza. Just ten minutes into the second half brace-hero Ndumiso Matsebula made it 3-1 through a powerful shot from 40yards. The ‘Bull’ started to rekindle their spark and pulled one more home through Mlandvo Dlamini in the 72nd minute. He tapped-in a cross from Mduduzi Malangeni to make it 2-3. Just when the capital-side based side were recuperating, Tambuti made it 4-2 six minutes later. It was a solo effort by Ndumiso Matsebula who took defenders on a run on the right flank before releasing a ground shot that rasped the game for visitors. In another encounter, eight-man Malanti Chiefs beat Matsapha United 6-5 after penalties. The game ended in a 2-all draw in full time. The champions will pocket E45 000 while runners-up will take home E20 000.The under 20 tournament has been sponsored to a tune of E240 000.
