E120 000 FOR SWAZI PLAZA NIGHT RUN

MBABANE – Fitness and fun will once again be the buzzwords in the fifth
edition of the Swazi Plaza Properties and Golden Foot Club (GFC) Night Run.
The run, which is presented by Golden Foot Club, received E120 000 sponsorship
from Swazi Plaza Properties on Thursday. This amount reflects a E20 000
increment from last year’s E100 000.
This emanated during the Night Run launch that was held at Swazi Plaza offices
in Mbabane. The seven kilometre Night Run around the city of Mbabane has been in
existence for the past four years.  The extravagant fun run is set for September
7, 2019. It will start at exactly 6:30pm and it will last for not more than an
hour.
For 2019, the prize money, which is in the form of cash and shopping vouchers,
excluding medals and trophies, is valued at E120 000.
Swazi Plaza Properties’ Marketing and Promotional Manager Nqobile
Ndlangamandla invited the nation to come in numbers and be part of this
one-of-a-kind experience.
Registration will be open from next week Monday. Registration costs E100 per
individual.
“We have also added online registration to ensure that participants register
before the day of the race. Late registration will cost E50 extra. Clubs and
families are invited to join the Night Run and stand a chance to win lucrative
prizes,” said Ndlangamandla.
GFC Secretary Gideon Mthembu extended his appreciation to Swazi Plaza for the
continued support and further invited running enthusiasts, fitness fanatics,
clubs and families to participate. He dubbed the Mbabane Night Run as one of the
richest short distance runs in terms of the prizes and attendance.
“This is the first and only night run in the Kingdom of Eswatini. The event is
always epic and normally hosts about 500 people. We believe that it is very
powerful,” he said.
