The presentation event was held at Sigwaca House in Mbabane. Mabelesa took home the MTN Premier League player of the month package of E6 000, while Vilakati claimed the E2 000 prize for the second time after winning it in July. He has scored six goals in the MTN National First Division 2020/2021 season. Premier League of Eswatini’s (PLE) Chief Operations Officer (COO) Pat Vilakati congratulated the duo for their achievements and thanked the sponsor for their passion plus commitment in promoting Eswatini football. Vilakati thanked MTN for motivating the players through the monthly awards which propelled them to thrive for excellence. “We are grateful to our league sponsor, MTN, for all that they have done for us this season and we hope that they will continue this partnership as we prepare to resume a new season,” Vilakati said. PLE Executive Committee member Charles Matsebula thanked the premier league teams that participated in the league games despite the challenges that prevailed during the present COVID-19 era. “We are looking forward to the sponsor to be with us in wrapping up the season which is marked by the main event being the MTN Premier League Awards Presentation ceremony. MTN Brand Communications and Sponsorship Manager Lando Dlamini acknowledged PLE’s leadership and the collaboration throughout the ended league season. “We are happy that the MTN Premier League came to an end despite the challenges resulting from COVID-19. We are excited to usher into the next season and we are still having discussions with our stakeholders to extend our partnership,” said Dlamini. She further congratulated the winners of the player of the month awards and wished them a successful new season.
