A majority of the teams said this was a good initiative by the PLE that would take Eswatini football to the next level in as far as marketing it was concerned. The PLE and Eswatini TV signed a deal that will see the latter paying at a monthly fee of E64 000 for a highlights show. First to give the thumbs up to the deal was Green mamba’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mandla Sibiya. “The last time I checked it was the Supersports deal, which we thought would help improve our football, but it is wise to start from the bottom and climb the ladder,” Sibiya said. He said as Green Mamba they really appreciated the deal between the two entities that would benefit Eswatini football. “We hope that our BOGs would find out how the teams stand to benefit from this deal, as of now we are clueless,” he said. His counterpart at Manzini Wanderers Mlungisi Ndzinisa said this was one of the best football deals to ever happen in the country. “We use the clips to market our players in international teams and this will improve the standard of the sport in Eswatini,” Ndzinisa said. He said they were very proud of Eswatini TV and urged other companies to also copy the good move by the station. Meanwhile, Mbabane Highlanders Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mandla Madonsela also shared the same sentiments that the deal would help improve the standard of the sport in Eswatini. He also urged other corporate companies to join hands with the PLE in marketing football in the country. The teams are set to benefit directly and indirectly from the deal.
