Senegal who will start their campaign in the quarterfinals will be without Germany’s Bayern Munich new signee Sadio Mane, Italy’s Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and PSG’s Ismaila Sarr,among others. The squad was announced by Coach Mousa Cisse. The Council of Southern Africa Football Association (COSAFA) tournament gets underway from July 5, with the finals to be played on the 17th in Durban, South Africa. Sihlangu will have to win group B to face Senegal in the quarterfinals. They face Lesotho, Malawi and Mauritius in Group B. The national team, Sihlangu are already in camp, in preparation of the tournament and they will be leaving next week as they began their campaign on July 6 against Mauritius in their opening match. Senegal called up 26 players while the COSAFA Executive Committee and organising committee for competitions took the decision to increase the squad sizes for the teams to 23. The squads had previously been limited to 20 players, but in line with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) practice of allowing 23 members at their major competitions, COSAFA has followed suit.
