Times Of Swaziland: HURDLE IN ‘SIKHALI’S E2.5M MOVE HURDLE IN ‘SIKHALI’S E2.5M MOVE ================================================================================ Ashmond Nzima on 18/07/2022 06:23:00 MBABANE – Sihlangu marksman Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa’s move to Iran is being frustrated by unforeseen circumstances. A Zimbabwe-born agent, Josephat Mhondiwa, who is registered with the Football Association of Ireland, told this publication that he wanted to arrange a move for ‘Sikhali’ to the Western Asia country (Iran) for a fee of US$150 000 (about E2.5 million), but learnt that the player had no clear profile on transfermarkt on top of full video recordings. Transfermarkt is a German-based website that has footballing information, such as scores, results, statistics, transfer news and fixtures on top of value of footballers across the globe. “Without the video and transfer market link, there is no hope,” stressed the agent. On top of the clear online profile, the condition for the move was for the player to play for a national team (Sihlangu in this case) and be a free agent. ‘Sikhali’ fits the profile, as he is a free agent after the expiry of his contract with Mbabane Highlanders last month. Mhondiwa said he had some Zimbabwean players including those from Dynamos who he helped facilitate trials abroad. He said he could assist ‘Sikhali’ where possible if his national record could be proven. “If his national team record can be proven, he has to sign with me and I can organise a transfermarkt link for him,” said Mhondiwa.Eswatini’s FIFA-recognised agent Dingane Maduma also confirmed learning about the latest developments. He was contacted by this publication to ascertain if it was possible to get the required information through other means. He assured that all was not lost for the player. “Yes, it is possible. All that can be done is writing to FIFA and they can do that straight away, especially if he has played in Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and World Cup games,” said Maduma. ‘Sikhali’ has played in both AFCON and World Cup qualifiers. He is fresh from starring for Sihlangu in the Hollywoodbets-sponsored Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) in Durban, where he scored three goals. Gifted Heading into the finals between Zambia and Namibia, the gifted forward was still leading the tournament scorers’ charts and he was on course to win the E20 000 prize. The result of the game could not be immediately established, as it was yet to be played at the time of compiling this report. Sources close to the player alleged that he also confirmed his interest to moving abroad. He was yet to respond to a message sent to his phone by 6pm yesterday. Highlanders Managing Director Chief Ally Kgomongwe, who has repeatedly declared his desire to tighten their grip on the player, said he was yet to learn about the interest from abroad.
