Times Of Swaziland: FROM ‘TINYONI’ TO ‘TINYOSI’ FOR SIYABONGA FROM ‘TINYONI’ TO ‘TINYOSI’ FOR SIYABONGA ================================================================================ Mengameli Mabuza on 31/12/2022 08:30:00 MBABANE - You cannot keep a good man down. This adage remains true for former Mbabane Swallows physical trainer, Siyabonga Bhembe who is set to sign on the dotted line with Ezulwini United, formerly Tinyosi. While it remains to be seen what he becomes there, sources have said United intend to give him the reigns to lead the team. However, Bhembe currently has qualifications as physical trainer and CAF Licence B which qualifies him as assistant coach. His position at Swallows where he had his two-year contract terminated last week has been filled by Siza ‘King Pele’ Dlamini as the new trainer, while his then co-coach Musa Manyatsi was demoted to the assistant coach position while former United coach joined as head coach of the Beautiful Birds. “He will definitely be starting to drill the team on Monday and everything has been finalised. ‘‘The only thing left now is to give him the contract and for him to sign it, otherwise he met our management this week,” our informed source said. Bhembe had the contract terminated after poor performance was cited despite that he had only lost two games including the 2-1 defeat to Mbabane Highlanders over a fortnight ago. United Chairperson, Polycarp Dlamini declined to comment on the matter, saying their Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nsindiso Tsabedze, was the right person to do so. “This is news to us as we are still dealing with our coach having been unveiled by Mbabane Swallows without our consent as he has a running contract with us. The matter is still being handled by the club’s hierarchy. For now, we are dealing with that issue and how we can move forward,” he said. Efforts to get hold of Bhembe yesterday afternoon proved futile as his cellphone rang unanswered. Meanwhile, United are currently the only team in the MTN National First Division League yet to taste defeat. They are currently sitting on second in the standings with 13 points after just seven games. United next face sugar-belt side Illovo FC.
