Times Of Swaziland: PSL DOORS OPENING FOR SIHLANGU STARS AS ... KWAKHE ON TS GALAXY’S RADAR PSL DOORS OPENING FOR SIHLANGU STARS AS ... KWAKHE ON TS GALAXY’S RADAR ================================================================================ Mengameli Mabuza on 15/02/2023 07:41:00 MBABANE - You cannot keep a good man down. The adage seems to hold true for Young Buffaloes want-away youngster Kwakhe Mtsetfwa who is allegedly on the wanted list of TS Galaxy, who are playing in the money-spinning DStv Premiership in South Africa. The team is owned by a renowned former football agent, Tim Sukazi. Impeccable sources have said the player had, in principle, agreed to join TS Galaxy, which could not sign him in the recently-closed transfer window because of the club having reached its foreign quota. “They held talks with Kwakhe who was playing in last year’s edition of the COSAFA Cup, where he played well and looked to have impressed the TS Galaxy scouts,” a source said. COSAFA is the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA). Intended The source further said capital city giants Mbabane Swallows, also intended signing the Eswatini national team player, who was seen in Swallows’ colours in last Thursday’s MTN Premier League game, that was played at Prince of Wales Sports Ground, where the Mbabane giants won the game 2-0 against Moneni Pirates. The left-back was earlier last week reported that he was destined to be a Swallows player. Kwakhe had taken the army side to the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Players’ Status Committee in a matter that would be heard tomorrow, after the committee and Young Buffaloes did not show up at Sigwaca House. The national team player’s security forces side allegedly failed to honour promises made to the player prior to signing for the army side. The exciting young player has been able to cement a spot in the star-studded army side after having made a breakthrough last season from the club’s development side, that was known to develop good players in the league. Kwakhe could not be drawn for comment, after his cellphone rang unanswered when called yesterday. Sukazi could also not be immediately drawn for comment, as this publication wanted to establish if the player would be pursed beyond the current season. TS Galaxy FC is a South African football club based in Sandton, Johannesburg but playing their Premier Soccer League (PSL) matches at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga. The Rockets, as TS Galaxy are known, were formed in 2015. History The Rockets made history in their maiden season in the National First Division, when they lifted the Nedbank Cup, getting the better of Kaizer Chiefs in the finals. By doing so, they became the first team in South African football to win the Nedbank Cup while campaigning in National First Division in 2019. In 2020, the club purchased the Premier division status of Highlands Park fC. After winning the Nedbank Cup, TS Galaxy FC competed in the CAF Confederation Cup.
