Times Of Swaziland: HLOBI SINGS MASTER’S PRAISES IN DAD’S ESTATE HLOBI SINGS MASTER’S PRAISES IN DAD’S ESTATE ================================================================================ Kwanele Dlamini on 09/02/2024 12:50:00 MBABANE – Hlobisile Ndlovu was yesterday all praise for the Office of the Master of the High Court when she appeared before the Judicial Commission of Inquiry. Hlobisile assumed the duties of executrix in her late father’s estate, the late Pigg’s Peak businessman Calvin Ndlovu, whose estate has not been wound up in over 20 years. At least 17 people have appeared before the commission and Hlobisile is arguably the only one who did not say any negative things about the master of the High Court or her office. She told the commission that: “I have worked with the master very well. I would arrive around 8am or 5pm at the Master’s Office and not even once did I not find her there. She advised us accordingly. Why do you quarrel because the master is there? We did not need attorneys.” Judge Maxine Langwenya expressed gratitude that positive things were being said about the master. The judge, in jest, said today there would be positive news reported about the master. Positive The Master of the High Court, Phumzile Thomo, said they were all smiles and that they were grateful to hear positive submissions about their office. Thomo said they took the pointers given by Hlobisile and they would improve where they could. In previous appearances, former teacher and trade unionist, Simangele Mtetwa, accused the Master’s Office of being hostile towards her son, who was suffering from depression after the death of his father. Mtetwa was the third person to appear before the commission. She appeared together with her daughter, Gugulethu Vilakati. Mtetwa also alleged that at the Master’s Office, the officers told her that they did not deal with issues of sikhwele.Thembi Dlamini complained that her father’s estate was allegedly looted at the Master’s Office. Other complainants accused the Master’s Office of being hostile towards them.
