CUP ================================================================================ Lindokuhle Madlopha on 12/04/2024 07:38:00 MBABANE – Eswatini’s very own ballet dancer Ndoniyamanzi Luhlanga needs financial assistance as she is preparing for the Dance World Cup finals which are set for June 27 to July 6, 2024. The 11-year-old was the first ballet and contemporary dancer from Eswatini to participate and win the at the Dance World Cup qualifiers in South Africa. She made it through to the Dance World Cup finals, which will be staged at the Prague Congress Centre in Prague, Czech Republic. The competition will take nine days. BackaBuddy Organiser Velile Dube urged the public to come through for Luhlanga, together with her coach with financial assistance as they were preparing for the Dance World Cup finals at the end of June 2024. They need approximately E62 000 to cover all their expenses. BackaBuddy is a campaign that currently stands to promote Luhlanga and further assist her and her coach financially as they are awaiting the finals. “We just want to plead with the public to help promote this youngster and her coach in accomplishing their dreams and further raise the flag of Eswatini in the upcoming Dance World Cup finals. Ndoniyamanzi story is one of courage, dedication and perseverance amid all sorts of challenges. Her story is bound to inspire young people in the country. We want young people from Eswatini to know that nothing is impossible,” said Dube. During the Dance World Cup Qualifiers in South Africa, Luhlanga was required to score 70 per cent and above to have Eswatini included as one of the countries to participate in the finals. Luhlanga performed and scored an impressive 77.5 percent, leaving the judges impressed.
