This announcement was officially affirmed by Lynda Greef, the Media Manager of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA), during a recent statement. “Entrance access is indeed free. We will publish details shortly!” assured Greef in response to inquiries from journalists. The tournament is scheduled to commence tomorrow and culminate on July 7. Eswatini’s opening match is against Botswana tomorrow, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium and is set to kick off at 3pm. Following this encounter, the Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane squad will confront neighbouring Mozambique at the Wolfson Stadium on Friday, with the match commencing at noon. The final group game for Sihlangu will be against South Africa at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on July 2, with kick-off time slated for 3pm. It is noteworthy that Sihlangu has assembled a youthful squad, featuring seven players from Mbabane Swallows, the reigning league champions. Among these players are Captain Kwakhe Thwala, who was earlier reportedly to have tendered his resignation from the club, as well as Siphosethu Mabilisa, Ayanda Gadlela, Leon Manyisa, Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini, and Sizolwethu ‘Nunu’ Shabalala, among others. Additionally, notable players who may have a significant impact in the tournament include Thubelihle Mavuso from Nsingizini Hotspurs and Bongwa Matsebula of Young Buffaloes.
