MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers are set to lose Skipper Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’
Nkambule to Ezulwini United before the start of the new season.
An impeccable source close to the left-footed versatile player revealed that
‘The Stingers’ are eager to sign Nkambule, after his stellar performance
against Nsingizini Hotspurs in the ongoing 2024 8Bet Trade Fair Cup on Sunday.
It was an Alvin Shabashie strike, which sent the ‘Weslians’ packing from the
E2 million-sponsored tournament. “Mlaba’ has been receiving calls from
Ezulwini non-stop from Sunday, convincing him to join them this season,” the
source said.

The source disclosed that ‘The Stingers’ tabled an exciting offer to the
former Mbabane Highlanders midfield maestro, which he was considering.“The
offer is enticing and tempting to Mlaba,” the source added.The former Denver
Sundowns captain was diplomatic in his response about the possible switch to the
Ezulwini-based outfit. “There are many teams who are after my services, but
I’m contracted Manzini Wanderers player and any interested club should contact
Wanderers,” Nkambule said.The ‘Weslians’ Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Diana ‘Girlie’ Johnson said any team that wishes to sign ‘Mlaba’ should
be prepared to break the bank.

“He won’t come cheap as ‘Mlaba’ is our player, who signed a one-year
contract on Friday. Teams should just forget about getting him,” Johnson said.
The CEO also warned teams to stay away from their players, as they were trying
to rebuild the once feared hub giants. “We have already lost some of our key
players, so we can’t afford to lose more,” she added. Ezulwini United Public
Relations Officer (PRO) Guy Magongo could not be drawn for comment as he said he
