Times Of Swaziland: I PREFER CLUB FOOTBALL – DOMINIC I PREFER CLUB FOOTBALL – DOMINIC ================================================================================ Machawe Fakudze on 05/09/2024 08:29:00 MANZINI – Former national team Sihlangu gaffer Dominic Kunene says he enjoys working with a team, as compared to Sihlangu. Kunene made these remarks in a post-match interview after watching his side narrowly edging MTN National First Division-bound Denver Sundowns. This was during their 8Bet Trade Fair Cup match played at Mavuso Sports Centre, two days ago. This was his first official match after rejoining Young Buffaloes in May. He said the game against Ikappa Kappa gave him a clear picture of what he needed to correct ahead of the new season. “These are pre-season games and they help us to note the positives as well as the negatives. I noted that we were not just kicking the ball, which is a positive I took note of in the game,” Kunene said. Rectify He also highlighted that the negative he noted in the match, which they won 2-1 was conceding the lone goal, but promised that they would go back to the drawing board to rectify that challenge. The former Sihlangu gaffer disclosed that the challenges he noted were easy to correct with Amathole’zinyathi. “It is easier to achieve your goals and it is better working with a team as compared to a national squad,” he added. He explained that a club was better because he worked with the same players every day. Meanwhile, the army side will play against rivals and defending champions Green Mamba in the quarter-finals penned for the same venue, today at 7pm.
