MBABANE - Exciting rider Jenna Morris was a marvel to watch after clinching the
adult eventing title, recently.
This transpired during the Eswatini National Eventing Championships at the
picturesque Scotts’ Ranch, Mafutseni. Eventing is an equestrian activity in
which a single horse and rider compete against other competitors across the
three disciplines of dressage, cross-country and show jumping.  “The aim for
athletes is to incur as few penalties as possible across each discipline,
demanding precision, skill and a deep bond between the horse and rider,”
shared Morris.

She also expressed that the championships, held over a week ago, were a
resounding success, attracting not only their talented local riders, but also
numerous participants from South Africa.
This influx of international competitors elevated the overall standard of the
event, fostering a competitive spirit that benefits the development of both
local riders and their horses. The exposure of Scott’s Ranch’s facilities to
a wider audience also serves as a promising step towards encouraging further
international participation in future events. “We look forward to building on
this success, strengthening our local equestrian scene and welcoming more
international competitors in the future,” said the champion.
