Buthelezi, who is currently a free agent, mentioned that he would love to play for Mbabane Highlanders. He said he was attracted by the club’s professionalism and playing style. The goalkeeper also highlighted on his football journey while at home, stating that he also has Nedbank Cup experience under his belt. “I played for Stone Breakers in the ABC Motsepe Foundation League and I played the Nedbank Cup up to the final of qualifying for the Last 32,” said Buthelezi. The 26-year-old also mentioned that he wants to join a club from Eswatini to gain a fresh perspective in terms of his mental awareness of the game outside SA. He said playing outside SA will train his mental fitness much better. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that Buthelezi came to the country last season, where he was training with Moneni Pirates for about a week. “I was supposed to be part of the team (Moneni Pirates) but my previous team (Asande FC) denied for my papers to be released. So I went back to SA and I’m now a free agent,” expressed the shot-stopper. He said that playing for a club as big as Highlanders would be a huge boost in his career, where he would be playing at a very professional level.
