Sundowns deadly striker Iqraam Rayners, who netted the opening goal against SuperSport United during the Betway Premiership opening match played at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, two days ago, highlighted that the opponents were not pushovers. Sundowns secured a 2-0 win, propelling them to the top of the league standings by surpassing Kaizer Chiefs on goal difference. Mosa Lebusa added the second goal in the 17th minute. The winner on aggregate between the two sides will advance to the group stages of the continental tournament. Teams that progress to this stage are also guaranteed a E12.3 million. While Sundowns appear sharp ahead of this CAF clash, the Caleb Ngwenya-led side had to cancel their MTN Premier League encounter against Ezulwini United.
