Mngqithi offered a measured and thoughtful assessment of the upcoming TotalEnergies Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League fixture against Mbabane Swallows, highlighting that Swallows were frightening. Speaking to the press ahead of the second leg, which will be held at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, he cautioned against complacency, emphasising the need for his team to remain vigilant despite their 4-0 advantage from the first leg. Tricky “Mbabane Swallows are a tricky opponent, regardless of our dominant performance in the first leg. “Despite our 4-0 lead, I’m aware that Swallows possess a potent threat on set pieces and can be a difficult foe if we allow our guard to drop. “This second leg, is critical for the team as they seek to restore some pride, making it a highly challenging game for us. “However, I trust that our players have the necessary experience and understanding to navigate this challenge successfully,” he said. Meanwhile, Sundowns star Thapelo Morena underscored the importance of remaining vigilant and focused in the upcoming encounter against Umkhonto KaShaka. Deliver Morena emphasised the need to maintain high standards and deliver a strong performance. “We won’t take this game lightly, as we want to end it with a strong showing that reflects our calibre,” he said.
