Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo, said the Municipal Council of Manzini will work hard to ensure that in two-three years, the new golf course, which will be 18 holes instead of the nine, is operational. The minister was speaking during the official handover of over the Manzini Golf Course to African Alliance (investor), yesterday. This marked the commencement of the approximately E4 billion Manzini Arch project. Arrangements “Arrangements have been made by the investor to cater for the payment of green fees; these are charges that golfers pay to play on a golf course for registered members of the Manzini Golf Club in other golf courses for the three-year period,” said the minister. The project, which is a demonstration of Government’s commitment to fostering growth and development, will introduce exciting amenities, including the first KFC drive-thru in Manzini City, a modern hotel, and a remarkable facility named “The Jewel.” This world-class building will also house key Government services.
