Ngcamphalala was speaking during a media day held at the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Lobamba Technical Centre yesterday. “Despite not having enough time to train, we will compete. Anything can happen in football. The spirit inside camp is good and we are hoping to achieve good results,” Ngcamphalala said. Head Coach Bongani Makhu- khula expressed his confidence in his troops as they embark on this journey. “We did not have enough time to train. The team only played two friendly matches against Mozambique. However, they are coming okay. Having 10 Young Buffaloes players will come in handy. Their match fitness after the Women’s Champions League will help as other players did not have time to train with league games having not started,” he said. Train Captain Nonhle Simelane shared the same sentiments. “It would have been great to train at least for a month. The games are tricky, but we will strive to work hard. The Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Women’s Championships will be held in Gqeberha, South Africa, from next Tuesday to November 2, 2024. There are 14 nations competing this year, making it the biggest women’s international competition in Africa. As per the pairings, Sitsebe will take on seven-time winners, South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, 2006 runners-up Namibia and debutants Seychelles in Group A of the annual regional women’s football flagship tournament.The winners of each group will progress to the semi-final stage. Sitsebe leaves today for the tournament.
