Times Of Swaziland: PLE ADDRESSES TICKET SALES CONCERN PLE ADDRESSES TICKET SALES CONCERN ================================================================================ Nimrod Hlophe on 28/10/2024 08:25:00 MBABANE – Clubs will soon have direct access to the traffic of the match ticket sales data. This development comes as the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) aims to make the ticketing system more transparent and accessible to clubs, starting next month. Various outlets across the country’s four regions have been granted sales rights for MTN League tickets, making the purchase at the stadium a thing of the past. Some of these outlets include MTN Eswatini centres and filling stations, which can activate ticket sales immediately after an official MTN League fixture has been released.PLE Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pat Vilakati has acknowledged the concerns raised by the clubs, who want direct access to the system. “Nomakunini (PLE ticket sales agent) reported to us that teams have concerns and want to have access to the ticket sale link. It is projected that this will happen next month, where teams will be summoned and taught on how to access the system and see the number of match tickets bought,” Vilakati said. He clarified that the agent is currently working on a probationary basis, with no contracts signed yet as it is being assessed. It is worth noting that another issue the clubs had raised regarding ticket sales is the delayed payment of money. In the past season also, the PLE attempted to use MTN MoMo Market Place, but it was abandoned, and they reverted to selling tickets at the gate. Vilakati also expressed gratitude for the league’s success so far and warned against any acts of violence. He emphasised that violence-free games are key to attracting sponsors and fans to stadiums.
