According to a source, the revered player met his untimely death on Thursday night. “It’s unbelievable as Fanie was well on the day he met his death,” the source remarked. The sad news was confirmed by his brother, Denis, who revealed that the legendary midfielder passed away late on Thursday night. “He was well until he was attacked by asthma, but God will give us strength in this difficult time,” Denis said. Arrangements He further mentioned that the family is currently working on funeral arrangements and will provide updates throughout the week. According to some of the legends of the country’s football, the loss of ‘The General’ is a significant blow to Eswatini football. They highlighted that, he was not only a gifted midfielder but also a respected figure within the community. His contributions to the sport, both on and off the field, will be deeply missed.
