MBABANE – it is a done deal.
This is the story of capital city giants Mbabane Swallows that have signed
former Manzini Wanderers player Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’ Nkambule ahead of the
Ingwenyama Cup last 32 match against Ludzeludze Killers at the Mavuso Sports
Centre.
A source within the ‘Birds’ camp has revealed that negotiations with a
former Sihlangu star were concluded yesterday afternoon  and Mlaba agreed to
join until the end of the season after Wanderers and Swallows both agreed on a
loan deal for the Wanderers’ captain and midfielder.
Confirming the recent transfer dealings involving Wanderers and Swallows, Welile
Mabuza, Chairman of Swallows, spoke frankly with this publication, affirming
that Nkambule had indeed joined Swallows. “As a club we are thrilled to
welcome a player of Mlamuli Nkambule’s calibre to our team. His wealth of
experience and expertise will undoubtedly enrich our squad, and we have every
confidence that he, along with the other recently signed players, will make
significant contributions to the team’s performance in the upcoming
matches,” he said.
Meanwhile, in a brief yet informative exchange with the player himself, the
experienced versatile player corroborated the news of his transfer to Swallows,
expressing his excitement for the remainder of the season.
“Yes, it’s true that I’ve signed with Swallows,” Nkambule confirmed.
“I am eager to embark on a successful journey with the team and look forward
to contributing my skills and experience to the squad’s performances in the
upcoming matches.”With his move to Swallows, the veteran midfielder is set to
reunite with his former Mbabane Highlanders colleague, Menzi Sithole, who also
recently joined the Nsindiso Gama-led team.
