The 27-year old featured in Sundowns 0-2 loss to South Afri-ca’s National First Divisi-on side Sivu-tsa Stars in a practice match at Impala Rugby Club Sports Ground outside Nelspruit yesterday. He was introduced late in the second half and made a few promising touches. He reportedly arrived in the country on Friday. His fate lies with head coach Milton Dlamini who could not make a decision after the game. Meanwhile Dlamini saw a glimmer of hope despite the loss in the match, saying his charges got the much needed practice ahead of the new season. “We started badly and could not get a grip. Nonetheless, we’ve got a good team and we’re ready for the new season. Otherwise, the opposition did their homework,” he said. Mokoena played for Dynamos in the 2011/12 season. Other players assessed on the day included Kevin Charles who made a return to the team as well as the pair of RSSC United’s striker Shaka ‘Nale’ Nkwanyana and former Manzini Wanderers midfielder Mciniseli Dlamini, among others.
