Times Of Swaziland: Warrant of arrest out for ‘Sport’ Warrant of arrest out for ‘Sport’ ================================================================================ BY JABULISA DLAMINI on 28/08/2013 04:40:00 MANZINI- Former Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) CEO Zwelonke ‘Sport’ Dlamini is wanted by the police for failing to make an appearance at the magistrates court yesterday. The former referee was supposed to appear before Magistrate Dumisa Mazibuko, whom after being told that there was no response from Dlamini said, “uyeyana lo, akusiko lebholeni la,” loosely translated ‘this man is disrespectful, we are not playing soccer.” Dlamini was called several times by a court orderly, however, there was no response. This is the third warrant of arrest issued against the retired whistle-man, however, some had been discharged by the court as he would then appear in court immediately after they have been issued. Dlamini is alleged to have damaged a watch belonging to former Mbabane Highlanders Director, Mduduzi Dlamini after the two were involved in a serious scuffle over complimentary tickets. The incident is said to have occurred at the Mavuso Sports Centre on September 12, 2012 and the suspect was charged with an offence of malicious injury to property. During the incident, the suspect is said to have damaged the complainant’s watch valued at E27 000. He also faces another charge of common assault, which allegedly took place on September 5, 2012 at the same venue. Dlamini is alleged to have assaulted this publication’s sports reporter Chris Dlamini with open hands and also banged him against the wall. The warrant of arrest was issued as per the crown’s application and the suspect is facing an additional charge of contempt of court. The case continues.
