Times Of Swaziland: Petersen is no Messiah - ‘Chocco’ Petersen is no Messiah - ‘Chocco’ ================================================================================ BY CHRIS DLAMINI on 28/08/2013 04:40:00 MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders’ Captain and winger Xolani ‘Chocco’ Sibandze has said the arrival of South African coach Basil Petersen did not mean there would be a miracle turn-around for the club. “Petersen is not a Messiah. He’s not bringing miracles with him instead he needs us as players to show him commitment and discipline to succeed,” Sibandze said, when asked what he thought of the coach after his first training session on Monday afternoon. He said the coach asked for two things from them as players, discipline and commitment and working towards lifting the club whether in the elite or First Division would be a lot easier for everyone. “Without that and everyone’s support who call himself a Highlanders supporter we cannot do it. Petersen is only here to coach and it is up to us players to perform for him and we’re ready to do so wherever we’ll play,” he said. He also described Petersen as humble man who also had an understanding of the region’s football and believed in possession football. Chocco’s words were echoed by striker Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini. “It looks like we’re going to enjoy working with him as he has professional approach and wants every player to be able to express himself on the ball if they have the skill. He just wants us to expose our full potential without fear,” he said.
