Times Of Swaziland: MISSED CHANCES HAUNT SIHLANGU IN SECOND MATCH MISSED CHANCES HAUNT SIHLANGU IN SECOND MATCH ================================================================================ BY NTOKOZO MAGONGO on 10/03/2014 04:14:00 MASERU – Sihlangu settled for a 0-0 draw against Lesotho yesterday. The match was their second in less than three days. On Friday the team won 1-0 and coach Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga made many changes in the team that played yesterday. The players are rated to 10. The players’ ratings: Mphikeleli Dlamini 6/10 The Royal Leopard goalkeeper had little to do in a dull first half. He was only called into action in the second half where he had to make two brilliant saves. He also communicated well with his defence marshalled by Sifiso Mabila. Sifiso Maseko 6/10 The workaholic Young Buffaloes right back had a splendid outing in both games. He defended well and on numerous occasions joined the attack, and was twice denied by the Lesotho goalkeeper trying to score a goal. Sikhumbuzo Ntimane 5/10 He has not played many games in the national team, and that lack of experience at this level reared its head at times. He was not as solid as he is at club level, but the good thing was that he was able to communicate with his fellow teammates at the back. Sifiso Mabila 6/10 The Mbabane Swallows player could have done much better considering his experience. He was always spot on in clearing the lines, but there were moments where he was caught off guard by the opposition. Machawe Dlamini 4/10 He was comfortable on the ball and initiated attacks from the back. However, his lack of pace was exposed at times by the speedy Basotho strikers. His over reliance on the offside trap almost cost his team, but still the player was solid on one-on-one situations. Sifiso Nkambule 7/10 He vindicated his selection into the team with a good showing. He always demonstrated his hard fighting ability and his biting tackles intimidated the opposition. Bheki Dlamini 4/10 It was not by mistake that he was rested for Zweli Mlilo Nxumalo at half time. The midfield strong man was far from his best. He conceded needless fouls in the danger area. Mthunzi Mkhontfo 4/10 The Mbabane Midas City winger literally failed to impose himself in the game. He was duly pulled out for Ndumiso ‘Skhokho’ Shongwe in the second half. Mxolisi Lukhele 5/10 The Moneni Pirates player controlled the midfield well and his passes were always good. He would time and again deliver good crosses into the area. He also showed his class in taking shots at goal even though he missed targets or saved by goalkeeper. Sandile Hlatshwako 5/10 The Malanti Chiefs striker only created two scoring chances before he was rested after sustaining a head injury. He could have done better considering that he scored the goal that gave Sihlangu the 1-0 on Friday. There is a room for improvement as he was playing his second game in the national team colours. Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze 7/10 The left footed flying winger showed great experience in the game. He initiated most of the Sihlangu attacks from the wing and delivered a number of telling crosses into the area for the strikers who missed the chances. Substitutes: Zweli ‘Mlilo’ Nxumalo, Ndumiso Shongwe, Muntu Mamba and Mphile Tsabedze. All the players were introduced to the game in the second half.
