Times Of Swaziland: IT’S STILL HURTING TO BOW OUT IT’S STILL HURTING TO BOW OUT ================================================================================ BY Thulani Khumalo on 25/03/2014 21:52:00 Greetings ma HighlanderssiphumileetintfweniboMagebhulabut the good thing is that we bowed out with dignity and through a penalty shootout. However, it was a sad moment though when we exited the tournament, we had hoped and prayed for a derby in the final, but our hopes were shattered by the uncompromising forces. Na Hurube from Royal Leorpard unibongile bo_Magebhula for your support on Sunday natsi Siyabonga kubo Hurube for their support, which got every Highlanders supporter excited and had a peaceable evening. Perhaps, when we bowed out of the tournament, I remembered a statement made by one PRO during the sports show one morning, He emphatically and with sincerity of heart stated that “kubuhlungu kakhulu kuphuma etintfweni”, I can safely confirm that indeed the statement is true. However, our game was very much entertaining and kept everyone on the edges of their seats. We may be out of the Swazi Bank competition but we are not out of our main objective and focus, which is to regain the elite league status. Supporters We would like to thank all our beloved supporters who, over the past weekend, attended a funeral of our lovely and supportive Hlobisile Bhembe who was always there for the team and its activities. We witnessed a number of supporters who were present at Sidzakeni for the funeral. It is with great joy to note that Hlobisile was a child of God the Almighty which then gives us hope and courage that one day we will meet her when Jesus comes again. It is of paramount importance bo-Magebhula that while we support the great team we also make our lives right with God. We know Highlanders supporters are a God fearing family and as such we also encourage that we abide by His principles at all times. Secondly, Somhlolo National Stadium had an electrifying atmosphere on Sunday due to the heavy presence of our supporters, beniphume ngetinkhani bo-Magebhula to support your team and we believe the sponsor and the management committee of the tournament were pleased with the turn out. Let us be seen supporting the tournament bo Magebhula even though we crashed out of the race. Nomasiphumile etintfweni our presence is of great importance to the sponsor and as such let us all be encouraged to attend the final in support of this good tournament. Having mentioned that, we are also cognisant of the fact that our fans have, until the time we were knocked out in the semis, behaved and showed respect of the rules of the tournament and such we appreciate and encourage bo-Magebhula. We noted with disbelief and shock the acts which were attributed to some other teams’ supporters during this great tournament, and for that reason we plead and advise all who love the team to desist from any wayward, unethical behaviour or any act that would put the good image of the team into disrepute. Siyacelabo magebhula sitiphatse kahle. We can’t afford to have people attend our games with intentions and ulterior motives to tarnish the good image of the team and such will not be tolerated, we strongly condemn such acts. SwaziBank Cup Kusenjalo… washathu! With much appreciation and sincerity of heart, we would like to thank the SwaziBank management for staging such a lucrative and interesting tournament even in 2014, wherein our team Mbabane Highlanders also participated and reached the semi-finals and remained the only competitive National First Division team to reach the semi-finals of this tournament, especially with its classy and entertaining football. We are so much proud of SwaziBank and we wish for its success in all spheres. Indeed it’s a bank with a heart, and has the Swazi nation at heart. Therefore, we encourage all Mbabane Highlanders supporters to continue supporting the bank by opening accounts and also participate in the much talked about and interesting LUNGISA FUNERAL COVER. We may not have reached the final of the tournament but we still have E20 000 to win with the bank, which was set aside for any team that will have many supporters open accounts under such an interesting insurance cover. We believe that time is now that we win this E20 000 bo-Magebhula. Asale siwina ngakhona bo-Magebhula especially with the huge base of supporters we can win it, and yes we can. Let us make the bank proud boMagebhula. Next game We are a three points or 90 minutes of game time away from our much awaited elite league status; hence a win is a must for us in this game against Hellenic at Somhlolo National Stadium on Friday evening. Let us come in numbers and paint the stadium with black and white colours of the team. I know many of you bo Magebhula can’t wait for the moment when we are declared winners of the First Division League title and return to where we belong, therefore, to us this game is of paramount importance, let us rally behind the boys and give them the much needed morale support.……..Till next week. GwazaNkunzemnyama!!!
