Times Of Swaziland: ‘YUKI’S DREAM: TO HELP MBOMBELA QUALIFY FOR PSL ‘YUKI’S DREAM: TO HELP MBOMBELA QUALIFY FOR PSL ================================================================================ BY SPORTS REPORTER on 03/04/2019 08:48:00 MBABANE – Former Orlando Pirates and Matsapha United midfielder Dennis Masina says his mission is to help South Africa’s National First Division side Mbombela United qualify for the Absa Premiership next season. Masina has come out of retirement to play football again after registering with United a few weeks ago. ‘Yuki’ has already played two games in the National First Division with Tingwenyama, who are chasing promotion. Masina, who is set to turn 37 next month, says his return to football was influenced by club chairman Skhumbuzo Matsebula and the technical team. initial “My initial role when I arrived at the team was coaching the strikers. I have always been involved in active participation during the training sessions,” Masina told KickOff.com. “The technical team and the club chairman felt I could still contribute more as a player judging by my performance at training. They influenced my decision to play football again. “My focus now is helping the club gain promotion. I have not yet decided if I will continue playing football next season,” he said. conceded Masina has conceded that the standard of football in the NFD is tough and most teams resort to tight marking. “Tactically, it might not be as good as the premier league but you must understand it’s lower division,” he explained. “It’s tough though, there is no space but tight marking.” The Mpumalanga-based outfit are currently fourth on the log after 25 games, eight points behind leaders Stellenbosch FC.
