MBABANE - Instacash has once again demonstrated its commitment on supporting
local football by contributing E231 000 towards an upcoming tournament.
In the realm of sports, the fusion of competition and skill development often
serves as a cornerstone for both individual growth and community cohesion.
Yesterday saw a significant event unfold, as the sun rose over Hhohho Regional
Football Association (HRFA), with the official launch of a soccer tournament
sponsored by Instacash in partnership with eBet Eswatini. The event was held at
Sigwaca House yesterday.
The tournament will commence on August 17, starting at Mhlangatane and
Ntabinezimpisi. Instacash will award soccer kits to the winners in the 14
leagues this competition will be staged in. The winners will also receive gold
medals and a trophy while runner-ups will be awarded medals. In addition, they
would distribute 60 across the country. The competition is staged in the Hhohho
region with plans to host it in the other three regions as well.
This marks the second consecutive year of sponsorship from Instacash, following
a successful E168 000 contribution in the previous year. Such initiatives not
only promote physical activity and healthy competition, but also help in
nurturing the next generation of soccer stars. Instacash Managing Director
Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo said the winner in each community would receive
goodies from this tournament.
“Winner will get a cash price of E5 000 and an Instacash branded kit worth E2
000 which will have Instacash logo and eBet logo at the back. In order to
qualify teams will have to register people from age 18 to 70 years with just E15
onto the Instacash Funeral Cover. Teams that register more people would
automatically qualify for the tournament,” he said.
Meanwhile, HRFA Chairman Comfort Shongwe expressed gratitude for the
sponsorship. “I hope this partnership completes the development of players. We
know Instacash also ventures into school football. In fact, the nature of our
nation has it, players have to play certain number of games for them to be more
professional or acquire the skill and perfect it,” he said.
