PIGG’S PEAK – The Miss Pigg’s Peak committee is still to meet with its chairperson to discuss a suitable punishment for the controversial queen, Fikile Gama.

Gama acknowledged that she had a love affair with one member of the pageant’s organising committee, Wandile Dlamini.

Punishment

At the same time she was still involved with her boyfriend Bongani Simelane, who is employed at a construction company in Matsapha.

The pageant’s Spokesperson, Khosi Magagula said: "We have not as yet met with the chairperson to discuss which punishment would be suitable for Gama’s wayward behaviour. We have spoken to her at length and she has acknowledged that she was wrong and further apologised to the committee as a whole.

"Currently she is busy with her projects as reigning queen which include assisting orphans, cooking for them and spending some time with them."

Duties

Magagula also said over the weekend Gama had visited some of the care points in the area and had cleaned the houses where some of the areas orphans lived.

This, according to Magagula is part of her duties as the Pigg’s Peak queen. Magagula also apologised to the general public, their sponsors and to all relevant stakeholders for the bad publicity and for Gama’s behaviour.

She said as a committee, they were still investigating the case that involved one of their members, Dlamini.

"Dlamini has been suspended for now as investigations are still ongoing. We want to do our own investigations and reach to the bottom of this matter.

"We acknowledge that Gama was wrong and we apologise on her behalf as she has also apologised to us," she said.
