Sir,

In Revelations 20 we have the 1 000 year prophecy popularly known as the millennium among Christians. The millennium as a concept is mentioned approximately six times in Chapter 20:2–7. In Revelation 19 we are given a picture of the second coming of Jesus and He is pictured as riding on a white horse and identified as King of kings and Lord of lords. The scene concludes with the destruction of the wicked who will be alive at the second coming of Christ.

Elsewhere in the Bible we are given a description of the events that will take place at the second coming of Christ. The Bible tells us that there will be four groups of people at the second coming of Christ. The righteous dead, the righteous living, the wicked dead and the wicked living. As we noted 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; the righteous dead are raised up and together with the righteous living, they will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. On the other hand, Revelation 20:5 tells us that; “The rest of the dead did not live again until one thousand years are finished.” Then finally the unrighteous who will be alive are going to be destroyed at the second coming of Christ (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9, Revelation 614-17 and Revelation 19:11-18).With this in mind we can now clearly understand how Satan is going to be chained.

Prophet Jeremiah gives us a description of the condition of the earth after Jesus’ returns; “I beheld the earth and it was without form and void and the heavens had no light, I beheld the mountains and indeed they trembled and all the hills moved back and forth. I beheld and indeed there was no man and all the birds of the heaven had fled. I beheld and indeed the fruitful land was wilderness and all the cities were broken down at the presence of the Lord, by His fierce anger,” (Jeremiah 4:23-26).

Jesus promised that the meek will inherit the earth and in harmony with this promise, God will set up His Kingdom here on the new earth (Rev 21) and live with His people. His Kingdom is established here only after the lost have been cast into the fire.
Revelation 20:6 “Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years”. Dear reader, there is no reason you should not be in the second resurrection because Jesus has paid the price on the cross. There is room enough in God’s new earth for all of us.
