GOVT AGAINST THE COUNTRY’S HARMONY
Sir,
I’m provoked and infuriated by the government of this small, landlocked and poverty stricken land of our forefathers which seems to be disoriented and far from touch with reality.
From time to time it is heard advocating for peace and stability in this country but if no justice is done to the current financial status of the country, how do you expect the sophisticated, civilized and full of wisdom people of the kingdom to accept the gospel of peace and harmony; that’s a million Dollar question.
Phela Swazis can read the political barometer, government is making a huge mistake if it would govern people like the pigs in Animal Farm book; the pigs succeeded in fooling the other animals because most of them were illiterate, that is to say their cognitive reasoning was vulnerable to manipulation.
But the people of Swaziland can clearly see that the country’s money is being misused by government’s top officials and nothing is done to them. Not because they are not known, rather because nobody in the system has clean hands. It was first mentioned that government loses about E40 million to corruption monthly, while the nation was still shocked with disbelief the figure doubled to E80 million.
My main concern is does it really mean the corrupt people are unknown to the prime minister or perhaps to Cabinet; why are they not named and proper action taken. Where is the belt-tightening approach promised to the nation? Surely the people sinking the nation are known, but nobody can name them because of fearing that they would also be exposed.
As I conclude now, to help the nation maintain and preserve peace government must strive to do what is right.
Corrupt individuals in the civil service should be named and shamed. People of Swaziland if government really wants peace to prevail such should be done without any difficulties.
The current image clearly shows how egocentric, selfish, self-centered and hard-hearted government is. Cha siyasha and we can’t withstand it any longer.
The nation is slowly but surely cornered to revolutionary actions by its politicians.
