THE GIRL IN A GREEN SCARF

Does your mind speed up as soon as you see something in boutiques?

Do you sometimes feel like you no longer have something in your closet as soon as you see a collection that could make your apparel new? I believe there have been more admitters pertaining the first question I tossed up.  Shopping isn’t a bad thing at all, but it has its side effects, especially to one who lacks self-control. Nothing is as amazing as shopping for clothes, it changes us, makes us feel whole, new and alive. I am talking about the smell of new Italian leather shoes, the joy you feel when you swipe your card, it becomes even more worse when its approved, then you know you’ll be swinging the bags all around the mall, knowing it’s just you and the shopping alone. Shopping can be powerful in such a way that it’s capable of making us forget every single problem we have in our lives, and I believe I am talking to every gender here, not just ladies. It is normally believed that ladies are addicted to shopping, but as soon as I see a guy in a formal Ferrari shirt, Coco Channel waist belt, Gucci watch and formal shoes, I take it that men do love shopping, but I guess it doesn’t make them go crazy like ladies.

You know the time when you identify black suede boots in a boutique, the mind just stops and you imagine yourself in those boots, obviously you don’t just end up standing outside, no matter how in a hurry you can be, first thing you want to know is the price. Usually the only thing we think of doing as girls, I don’t know about guys, is to go all out and hustle for the money we need in order to purchase what we want, which is usually lending it, worst thing is we usually lie to our sources, make reasonable reasons in excuse for the cash so that we can finally get what we want. By the time you hold the money with your hands, you feel like screaming and shouting with delight, in a way that you just wish you could fly into the boutique to get what you fell in love with earlier. And if we have been unfortunate with getting the cash, we get sick, we shout, lose temper, appetite, all we see is what we saw in the shops. That’s the world of shopping! Putting it bluntly, the type of clothes we purchase and wear, partly determine who we really are.

There are types of clothes that when you are in them, you feel unique, expensive, worth every cent. There are types of colours too that when you are in them, you know you are expensive. Honestly speaking, nothing is as exciting as shopping, it frees you, defines who you really are, it makes you worthwhile, confident, it brings you happiness and it’s where you find yourself.
