CHAMELEON PERSONALITIES
Sir,
I grew up in a society which required every young man, at the early teenage stage, to be able to look after cattle without losing even a single one of them.
In a quest to impress the cattle owners the young man is exposed to the secrets of nature and to different kinds of animals. As a young man in that quest I came across a very distinctive and unique lizard which understood different colors like they knew the behaviour of feeding themselves. Chameleons have the tendency of taking the colour of each and every surface they may be found hiding in. If they are found hiding in a grey bark of tree their skin colour will become grey, when found hiding in green leaves their skin becomes perfectly green and blending with whatever object they decide to hide in.
Possibilities
Now; have you ever, for one second, thought about the possibility of human beings having the traits of a chameleon, having the ability to camouflage with whatever colour of the surface they step on. Is that how we should be; are we supposed to have frequent changing personalities? Then one would ask, ‘what exactly are we talking about when we talk of personalities’? A personality is an individual’s success or failure to manage emotions; think about someone with a cool personality and another with a moody personality.
Lifestyle
Christianity is a lifestyle that Christ established on earth and left disciples to spread throughout the world. Christians should possess one personality and that personality should be composed of love, truth and loyalty. So many times the world has been perplexed by a number of Christians who have changed their personalities because of the change in location or the company they keep. So many of them have been diagnosed with snake tendencies by their spiritual doctors (pastors), because they pretend to be faithful to God when they are before other Christians. Immediately they are away from them their true colours of evilness are revealed; some are capable of murder, some witchcraft, some theft, some drug abuse, some terrorism and some are even capable of establishing cults.
