GREED, DESIRE, CORRUPTION

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Sir,

What do you name someone who embezzles government’s money like young boys from the countryside aiming for honey in a beehive? It’s true our government leaders are of great value to the peaceful kingdom, as most citizens from the hood would say, trying to put a fake and lousy smile on their superiors. They would rather receive more compliments than complaints.
Greed and corruption are everywhere; in schools, prisons, at work and the worst of all is in government.  It’s devastating to see a student acquiring a scholarship just because he is a relative to a government representative when there has been a student who has enough credits being sent back home with a sad face just because he was not found eligible to be afforded the golden opportunity.

Impossible

It is true that it is impossible to have scholarships for all but do us and yourselves   justice. South Africans called the bondage against them ‘apartheid’ and what do we call it when a man of our kind suppresses us against our will for their good. The late great world icon Nelson Mandela was not fighting for freedom in my understanding but fighting for peace between blacks and whites. If a white man would be incarcerated for stealing government’s money you would find them saying; “If it were not for apartheid none of this would be happening.” But no, it’s about doing the right deed for the peace and harmony between every seed of the country.

Blame

Yes school is a place to be but would you blame a pupil with a disability for dropping out of school because one of the so-called ‘good teachers’ had been a pain in the neck of the innocent future leader. Teachers try their best to convince us that we can all pass with astonishing results but then in reality that is impossible. I am sorry to say this but it’s the truth, so teachers should stop having favorites in class because we are not perfect as beings; never have and never will be.
