DWELLING IN GOD’S PRESENCE

Sir,

The time to hang around with chickens is over, this is the time to fly with eagles and for us to really execute a vigorous self introspection to find out whether we are or not ready for Christ’s coming.

I would be a pathological liar if I were to deny that we have been given adequate time to hang around with friends, engage in naughty attempts, gobble in sin in broad daylight like nobody’s business and played with God’s word like a haven.

Forbids

This is what God forbids with utmost disdain!  Consequently, it has bred greed, poverty and further built a home next to havoc that has razed people’s lives apart. Surely people have been left in sixes and sevens in as far as their relationship with God is concerned.

With pandemics striking at us, in a juggernaut-like destruction, taken us hapless to the cleaners, we are lamenting in agony.  Increasingly we are bumping into a ‘glass ceiling’. The glass ceiling is a barrier so ticklish that it is transparent, yet so strong that it prevents us from doing the will of God and to hang around with Him. In reality, the glass ceiling is not a barrier that can prevent us nor hinder us from drenching in the presence of God. Our inability to understand God’s expectations from us are the ones that are costing our lives’ fortunes subsequently.

Burning

Well, it seems, finally, the cat is out of the bag. The bushes we used to hide in to avoid God’s will are burning right before our long faces. The excuses we used to utter when God’s profound Word was preached to us are judging us now.

This is the most apprehensive encounter that we never imagined occurring to us! If the thought of repentance has not yet crossed our minds, let it be known to everyone that we are distancing ourselves from God’s infallible will and the wrath of the most high which is yet to prevail on earth.

By trying often, a monkey learnt to move from tree to tree without falling. If we can seek God’s righteous will, the opulent lifestyle we yearn for can be a surplus to us. Let us thrive to do right by God. If we fail to do that, we cannot be exactly like Him but for our sake, we need to give Him the due praise He needs.

Benefits

I become ecstatic when the Bible concurs about the benefits of hanging around with God. Psalms 1: 1 says; “Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked or stands in the way of sinners.” This is really fascinating! If you stick with God and do His will you are going to be blessed.
After a drought spanning years of feeling content about filthiness, we must be now lingering for the Word of God. In Him there is happiness, there is love, there is peace; fullness of joy. Let us hang around with God and let us allow our lives to be magical.
