GRACEFUL AND MERCIFUL GOD
Sir,
The horrible sins we have been asking Him to forgive us for, He has forgiven. Oh what a graceful and merciful God we serve! We indeed are grateful to Him for His never ending mercies and His unchanging love.
Let us, therefore, really come to God with hearts that are repentant and willing to serve Him. He died on the cross for sins He did not even know. He died for and delivered us from the sins that we committed.
He died so He could live again in us in all His glory. He intends to guide us to live lives that please Him. We cannot live these lives on our own as all our bodies know sin.
He is the only one who can help us to live lives that please God but He needs our permission to do that. Without us giving up our desires for His desires and will for our lives, He cannot lead us in the right path desired by God.
Moreover, let us live by faith and trust in Him. If there is one thing God hates, it is doubt. Faith is what allows Christ to breathe in us. Without it we can never please God.
Faith
Having faith in God means trusting Him with all our hearts, without a single doubt. Even before we were born, God had already written in His book all that we would do. Let us trust His judgement for our lives. We need to trust that He will lead us in the right path.
God really wishes that we could know Him in all circumstances. He does not want us to remember that He exists only when troubles strike us.
He wishes to lead us throughout our lives, in both good and bad times. They say every dark cloud has a silver lining. The more time we have in our hands right now is a chance for us to really seek God’s face.
Let us also remember to teach our children to build their relationship with God as well, no matter how old they are. We are getting to spend more time with our children, which we never get to do when we are busy. This is another silver lining.
This is our chance to teach our children about God. When trouble struck us, we knew better to turn to God; who will they turn to if something like this happens to them once we are gone and they do not know about God or just know Him as the creator who lives in the skies?
Hard
As hard as it is to believe right now, God really does love us dearly. That is why His son died for us in the first place and has forgiven us for our sins. Let us allow Him to live in us, trusting Him with all our hearts.
Let us believe that He will get us through the coronavirus as well. By His grace, He will intervene and also help restore all that has fallen apart.
Let us not lose hope but instead ask Him to help our faith in Him to be stronger and firm. He is able and is the doer of the impossible. May He help us and our children to stay in Him and continue to trust Him, no matter what happens.
Forever humbled
