CLEAR UP THE MESS
Sir,
Many times we have been shocked when we learned of the rot taking place within government institutions. Unqualified candidates have been deliberately promoted to higher positions through corrupt means. What do we expect to happen to the country’s economic status when such corrupt acts are allowed to happen? How will the country progress if we still have government institutions that still play underhand tricks and allow unqualified people to take on senior positions, which, according to the dictates of justice, should be reserved for qualified candidates who have the minimum qualifications and work experience at their disposal?
Embezzle
A lot of things need ironing out if government is to take a lead; it must lead by example and strive to purge its departments of the rogues that embezzle its finances. How much money does government waste on these people per annum? For how long have they held those positions? Alas! There is a lot of thieving and corruption perpetrated by greed-driven people in the country. How much money does government squander on those unqualified candidates?
Address
Beautiful people, is there anything government is doing to address the situation? If nothing, what is its motive for allowing this to happen? A lot of people have raised this issue in an effort to make government clear up the mess in its various institutions. It has never made sense to me how these institutions promote a legion of unqualified workers to senior positions. There lies a paramount need for government to recruit more auditors who will invade its various sectors to carefully assess the amount of rot taking place.
Monitoring
I strongly suggest that a careful and constant monitoring and evaluation mechanism through a government agency may hugely help to curb the endemic corruption collapsing the economy. We need to be united and speak in one voice to eradicate corruption, stabilise and consolidate the economy. Under no circumstances should corruption of this nature be condoned. Let’s create a corruption and crime free Eswatini, ready to welcome and cherish the First World status vision which will see the country moving forward.
