MAN-MADE RELIGIONS ARE ALL AROUND

Sir,

We live in a world that is filled with different religions. Man-made religions are all around. For every documented religion there are thousands more, which are created in individual minds that may be only known really to that one person. People take a little of this philosophy or religion, a little of that one, take it in and mix it together with personal feelings. Millions of people have their own unique religions, with a god of that religion, or gods, created in the minds of these people. There is so much confusion about religion and religious beliefs. There is great confusion in the minds of men and women, it’s rampant. But a day is coming very quickly, when everything will be made clear to all.

Religions

When all of these man-made religions are laid aside, and be seen for what they are, confusion will be replaced by clarity. Every knee will bow to one, and only one. Every knee will bow, not to a multitude of gods, but just to one, only one, and that one to whom every knee will bow is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says; “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father,” (Philippians 2:9-11). This is a fascinating and sobering declaration because there are many people who don’t want to bow to anyone.

Bow

They want to do their own thing and live their own lives. The Bible clearly tells us in the aforementioned text that a day is coming when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. This will be the most public event ever. Every knee shall bow in Heaven and on earth, angels, those currently living on the earth, and those who will be raised in the last day will all bow. This includes the Pharisees who publicly blasphemed Jesus. They will declare that Jesus Christ is Lord. It will include the Romans who publicly beat Him and nailed Him to the cross. It will include the early persecutors of the church, those who threw stones at Stephen. It will include your neighbours who have and will finally reject Him. It will be a time when there will be no duplicity in thought regarding who Jesus is. Everyone will be on the same page; they will all agree that He is Lord. It includes the Jew, the Muslim, the Buddhist and the atheist. The whole world will agree on at least one thing, that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Those who won’t bend the knee or say that Jesus is Lord today will do that on that fateful day. They will do that as they realise that they were wrong. They will ultimately acknowledge the Kingship and Glory of Jesus Christ before their eternal sentence. Evil will meet its match that day. The last act of those who do not believe or who hate the Lord will be to bend the knee and confess Jesus as Lord to their own damnation. This is a solemn warning. But it is also a joyous hope! When our knees bend before the Lord, they do so gladly. And we will worship Jesus before His throne, eternally confessing Him as Lord to the glory of God the Father! Maranatha, come quickly Lord Jesus, come.
