KNOW THE KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE

Sir,

There are three kinds of people, those who make things happen, those who watch things happening and those who wonder what happened. It is, therefore, crucial for everyone to know the kind of person they are. Failure is the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective, and may be viewed as the opposite of success yet it is part of it.

Success

The degree of success or failure in a situation may be differently viewed by distinct observers, such that a situation one considers to be a failure, another might consider to be a success or neutral situation. Failing several times does not mean you are a non-achiever, but it means you are a master under-construction. Failures are mostly people who tried once and gave up, yet defeaters are those who have tried uncountable times. If you are afraid to try, it means you are not ready to be a champion.

When you come across the slogan or phrase that reads; ‘We will try again tomorrow and we will not fail’, it does not necessarily mean you won’t be a victim of failure, but it is meant to give you tremendous confidence that tomorrow is a new day of endeavouring again.

It is therefore, critical to be always positive when doing everything. The Holy Bible vividly pens it on Proverbs 18 verse 21 that ‘Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof’
Regardless of the type of person you are, you are longing for better each passing day. Those who make things happen may be earning a six-digit salary, those who watch things happen earning four-digit salary and those who wonder what happened earning a three-digit salary.

Possess

All these kinds of people have a divine spark that always whispers to them and say; tomorrow, next month or next year, they have the need to possess more than what they are currently possessing. This is not because of gluttonous spirit, but because of the command of God in Psalms 82 verse 6 when He said ‘You are ‘gods’; When we are gods, we have the absolute authority to dominate even the whole universe. Undermining the work of life of the next person is the biggest mistake that we as ‘gods’ must try by all possible means to avoid.

Help

We must have it in mind that may it be work of life, profession, calling or toiling, all that kinds of work complement each other to produce a complete chain to help everyone in the society. For instance, when I am working at an office in town, a cleaner and groundsman at home, bus driver and conductor along the way, security guard at work, to mention a few are important players for my productivity at work.

My productivity at work won’t be the same without them. It is therefore important to honour everyone, regardless of the type of work they are doing, no work is better than other. An unknown author once said, “Remember we are in this planet earth to help each other, if you cannot, at least don’t harm them.”
