VISIT OF PSUS LEADERSHIP TO CHURCH

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Madam,

As a civil servant , I find myself compelled to comment on the above topic. The visit was a necessity, there are numerous reasons this was necessary. It’s true people may have different views on this, depending on where you are, as the government spokesperson feels it was a barbaric act. What the PSUs showed was that they are representing workers who really want their requests to be heard by government. In short, it was a way of saying to the government, ‘come back to the table, workers are starving’.

Representing God

It’s a pity that Tsabedze is a pastor, but when at work seems to be forgetting the fact that he is representing God. What I like about God is that He listens to people, but at the JNF, he decided to walk out, instead of giving an ear to the workers’ representatives. We want to remind Pastor Tsabedze and his team that our allowances were supposed to be reviewed or implemented in 2016, and as of now, it stands at a meager ( housing)   E600/ month, and a travelling of 72 cents per kilometre. The allowances are an insult from government, is there still 17 cents on earth, kodvwa usekhona yini zuka na two cents noma ke one cent. Government is also owing us a lot, as far as cost of living is concerned, as in the previous years, she has been giving us a percentage far less than the inflation for each year. We hope umfundisi will remember us, we pray to God that as His servant, He reminds. Pastor Tsabedze we are starving, we are crying and we also belong to God. We know that God is really not happy with the way we are remunerated.

Starving and crying

We pray that each time Pastor Tsabedze prepares a sermon, God reminds him that government workers and their families are starving and crying. We also pray that each time Pastor Tsabedze mounts the pulpit and starts preaching, God reminds him that government workers and their families are starving and crying until he ( Tsabedze) gives us what belongs to us.
